I purchased a set (13 each) of these jumbo grips and re-gripped all of clubs that I normally used. I originally purchased a single jumbo grip about a year ago and re-gripped only my driver. It's the most comfortable grip that I've ever had. I took advantage of the recent specialI and purchased a set of these grips. I have yet to try these out, but I'm sure I will love it.
Great Grips! Makes the games easier to play.
I've been using the Golf Pride jumbo grips for about 3 years now. But as I got older, my hands and wrists starting bothering me. I decided to look for bigger grips and found Jumbo Max. I ordered the Wrap medium grips and couldn't be happier. No more pain and I actually have more confidence in my golf game. Thanks guys. These really are a game changer.
I play single plane, Moe Norman, have been looking for proper grips ever since Natural Golf stopped making grips. Tried the Junior Size , love them. Less tension in gripping the clubs and actually gained ten yards in each iron, fifteen plus in driver, and more accuracy.
I’m a new golfer. 63 and only played two seasons so far. My skill level is pretty low. I started with a new set of Strata clubs and they seemed fine to me. But what do I know? I have pretty much avoided using a driver for fear of embarrassment. With my other clubs I have been really inconsistent. Sometimes straight, but not very far. Sometimes I miss the ball entirely. I tried a friends club last winter. An Adams 4 iron hybrid. It was amazing. I hit further and more consistent than ever. I went nuts and built a set of Adams Blue clubs ( almost) from Craigslist and Ebay over the last month or so. They are I think only from 2015 and pretty rare but supposed to be great for beginners and high handicap golfers. Went for senior flex shafts and got a new or lightly used driver, 3,4 and 7 hybrids. They all look like small drivers!
Well, I got this used 7 iron hybrid and it had a JumboMax “Small” grip on it. Which was still remarkably large and noticeable. Even to me. I use a “Large” glove. The feeling was weird, but kind of ok.
I took my new (used) set of Adams Blue clubs to the range today. ( I still don’t have the confidence to go to an actual course by myself).
I’m telling you, it was incredible. I don’t have the understanding to know a slice from a draw or a fade. But with my 7 hybrid/ JumboMax “Small” I was wacking those balls down the middle of the range time after time. High and long. I looked like I was a real golfer today.
Yes, the Adams clubs were terrific compared to my old set, but the JumboMax grip seemed so much more natural to me than the regular ones. The confidence I feel is priceless. I might just have the courage to play a tiny 9 hole public course by myself with other golfers. This is huge for me.
I wanted to post this review because a lot of the others seemed to come from really sophisticated golfers who understand the nuances of their swing and their gear. I’m at the other end of the spectrum and this grip was a big help for me so I want others to see it from my perspective.
I ordered 3 more “small” grips and can’t wait to see the improvement on my Driver, 3 and 4 Woods too.
You always hear about the pros and cons of going with a bigger grip. I for one have only seen pros. I have seen videos and comments that say you can put the club more in your palm with these larger grips; I don't agree with that. In my use I find the club still needs to be in my fingers. What I have found though is that I don't squeeze the club as hard which has given me more distance. The other thing I have noticed is my hands and upper part of my forearm don't hurt after a round. Bottom line is I love these grips and will stay with them from now on!
I am a 16 handicap and took the grips out for the first time last night. Bottom line is I love them. I am a club longer with from my 7 iron to my driver with these grips. My ball flight is a consistent high cut shot. Best of all my hands and forearm don't hurt when I am done playing!
