If there's one thing we've learned about Bryson DeChambeau, it's that he's never satisfied. He's always in search of a better way to do things. So, with 5 PGA Tour wins under his belt, an NCAA Individual title and a US Amateur Championship, Bryson switched out his tried and true JumboMax XL grips with a set of prototype ultralite grips we've been developing. Bryson put the new prototypes in play a just few days before the 2019 Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia.
The new JMX UltraLite XL grips feature the same great tackiness as our current Tour Series grips, but they are built on an underlisting that weighs less than half the weight, around 50 grams. Trials of the new grips are still being conducted, but early results indicate that the grip performs well for those players with a faster swing speed, who prefer a slightly heavier feel to the head of the club. The original JumboMax grips provide a counter-balancing effect which makes the club head feel lighter allowing players with less-than-tour-speed to generate more club head speed with less effort.
The new JMX UltraLite grips are still in development and testing and should be available to the public around late summer 2019. Please check back for further developments, or sign up for our email list at the bottom of this page to be notified of new product developments or promotions.
